The 1911 George V Proof Gold Two Pound Coin was issued by The Royal Mint as part of a Long Gold Proof set to commemorate the King’s coronation in 1911. It is rarely seen outside of the proof set and is the first time I have had one in many a year. Weight of 15.98 grams (AGW 0.4710) Proof finish. Mintage of Long set: 2,812.
One of the hardest 2 Pound gold coins to find as a single coin. pAS - Faint hairline marks otherwise choice.
