1755 Maundy 1d  Obv.

1755 Maundy 1d  Rev.

1755 Maundy 1d  Rev.  FR (mess !)

1755 Maundy 1d - Obv. A very faint trace of the "I" ghosting through from the reverse.

A double colon : to GRATIA: (Previous years just a single stop .)*

                                   * This double colon stop after GRATIA : is normal for this year

In 1756 both single stop & double colon have been recorded after GRATIA :

In 1757 both single stop & double colon have been recorded after GRATIA :

In 1758 only single stop have been recorded after GRATIA .

In 1759 I have only found with a single stop after GRATIA . However, the

new ESC (English Silver Coinage) registers 1759 as GRATIA :

I would be interested to hear from anyone that has either a double colon : after GRATIA for

either 1758 or 1759 as I feel that the 1759 might be an error recording in the new ESC !?

Rev. The R of FR has be overstruck however the repair has been so badly

done that it is impossible to tell if it is R over R or R over B or a

                                    combination of both ??
