Obverse 1 - Small head size

                   1. The curl at the front of William's head is away from the B of BRITANNIAR

                   2. The front of William's truncated neck is to the left and way from the colon dots 

                       after D: of F: D: 

                   3. Far fewer border teeth. Wider gap between teeth.

Obverse 2 - Larger head size

                   1. The curl at the front of William's head is closer and just below the B of BRITANNIAR

                   2. The front of William's truncated neck is just above the colon dots after D: of F: D: 

                   3. More border teeth. Smaller gap between teeth.

These are the main points to look out for the difference in the two dies.

Obv. 2 : The S of GULIELMUS (Upright) the centre of the S points to a gap

               between two border teeth. 

* Note:- Some of obverse 2 have been seen with Fat or Thin border teeth.!

Obv. 2a:  The rim and the border teeth above IIII merge in together - as shown above.

                 So far, only seen with thin border teeth.                    

Obv 2b:  The S of GULIELMUS (tilting backwards) the centre of the S points to a tooth.

                 The U of GULIELMUS (tilts slightly forward). Seen with fat border teeth.

* Note: - most of the 1835 Obv. 2 examples seen are with the tilted 'S'
