 Charles II - Machine made.  Type 1. Smaller bust and legend is continuous around the coin

                                                       and therefore below the bust.

                                           Type 2* Is as pictured above with larger bust and legend not below bust

* The Machine made issue - type 2 is very often confused with the later "Milled" undated 2d as both look

                                          very similar as they have the same legend style. The busts are very slightly 

                                          different on close examination but it is the crown styles that are the main

                                          point that makes it easy to identify them apart as to either Machine or Milled !
