1683 Maundy 3d - Obv. Part of the legend AROLV of CAROLVS has been struck a 2nd time and
shows very clearly to the left of CAROLVS. None of the rest of the obverse
or bust has any indication of being double struck !?
Rev. M of MAG double struck. The border teeth to the left side of the coin are
struck very much within the border giving the appearance that the
reverse is struck - off centre !
It is in the same area that the double striking on the obverse occurs !
Grade: Fair-Fine/F+ Unusual !
