1888 shilling - Date: 8 NOT over 7 This is only the 3rd example I have ever had or seen. I sold my first example, in Fine grade. SOLD over 8 years ago for £50.00.
The other example Obv. Bright EF+ (Choice slight scuffing in field either side of head).
Rev. EF+-pAS Very slight reddish tone at top edge. SOLD at £650.00 5 years ago.
SH 1888 Ba - Date: 8 NOT over 7
This example is only in Fair and some of the letters on the reverse are clear but a bit misty - Y & P !.
The last 8 appears to be slightly wider than my original find (above). Last 8 central over gap.
Still a very scarce to rare variety.
