ST 1865 Xb - Obv. 2 (F: D: Type - X) D. G. (single lower colon dots ONLY) ! The D has a trace of being double struck. F. D. (lower colon dot after F. & upper colon dots after D. The D is partly open at the top - just off centre and in need of repair ! The V over V in VICTORIA (Different to the striking in 1863) The overstrike V is at least 1 font size LARGER than the original V The I and the C also have a trace of having been double struck The 1st I is one font size smaller than the other letters in VICTORIA There are traces of the die clashing above Victoria's head. There is a tiny pin-head size indent - just below Victoria's ear this is due to a die or metal flaw (a piece of grit on the die !?). Rev. A Clear outline of the Triple ghosting of Victoria's head from the die clashing. There are two die cracks 1st. At 3 o'clock - 2 mm into the wreath. 2nd. At 9 o'clock - 2 mm into wreath. There is a tiny pin-head size indent - just above & between the 18 of the date. This is due to a die or metal flaw (a piece of grit on the die !?). Date: Type 2 - The top bar of the 5 is flat and has a pointed end. The top bar is very much thicker than the example of date type 1. There is now very little space between the top bar and the top of the lower bulge. They nearly converge. The back bar is as per type 1 - upright. The top of the bulge is more rounded than type 1 but as per type 1 there is a large space within the bulge. The tail in now closer to the upright back bar, with very little gap and has a bulbous end.
