The D is partly open at the top - just off centre and in need of repair !

The V over V in VICTORIA (Different to the striking in 1863)

The overstrike V is at least 1 font size LARGER than the original V

The I and the C also have a trace of having been double struck

The 1st I is one font size smaller than the other letters in VICTORIA

There are traces of the die clashing above Victoria's head.

There is a tiny pin-head size indent - just below Victoria's ear

this is due to a die or metal flaw (a piece of grit on the die !?).

Rev.   A Clear outline of the Triple ghosting of Victoria's head from the

die clashing. There are two die cracks 1st. At 3 o'clock - 2 mm into

                              the wreath. 2nd. At 9 o'clock - 2 mm into wreath.

There is a tiny pin-head size indent - just above & between the 18

of the date. This is due to a die or metal flaw (a piece of grit on

                              the die !?).

Date:  Type 2 - The top bar of the 5 is flat and has a pointed end.

The top bar is very much thicker than the example of date type 1.

There is now very little space between the top bar and the top of

the lower bulge. They nearly converge. The back bar is as per

type 1 - upright. The top of the bulge is more rounded than type 1

but as per type 1 there is a large space within the bulge. The tail in

now closer to the upright back bar, with very little gap and has a

                             bulbous end.
