ST 1865 Xb - Obv. 2 (F: D: Type - X) D. G. (single lower colon dots ONLY) ! The D has a trace of being double struck. F. D. (lower colon dot after F. & upper colon dots after D. The D is partly open at the top - just off centre and in need of repair ! The V over V in VICTORIA (Different to the striking in 1863) The overstrike V is at least 1 font size LARGER than the original V The I and the C also have a trace of having been double struck The 1st I is one font size smaller than the other letters in V I CTORIA There is strong evidence of the die clashing above Victoria's head. Rev. A Clear outline of the ghosting of Victoria's head from the die clashing. 1. Victoria's forehead 2. Victoria's nose 3. Victoria's mouth 4. Victoria's chin Date: Type 3 - The top bar of the 5 is slightly curved, points upwards and has a slightly rounded pointed end. There is a very large space between the top bar and the top of the lower bulge. The back bar is very slightly tilted forward rather than upright. The top of the lower bulge is flattish as per type 1. There is a large space within the bulge. There a large gap between the tail and the top bar. The tail has an even larger bulbous end. Grade: Obv. EF? (due to the die clshing !) Rev. EF Bright
