Sixpences 1875 - Die Numbers

2 Different obverse dies were used in 1875.

Obverse 3  I do not have sufficient 1875 6ds to determine when obv. 3 was first or last used

                  I have noted that die no. 31; 71 & 73 are with obv. 3.

Davies considers that the use of this obverse die is less frequently used and

therefore any 1875 6ds with this obverse are scarce. More sightings are needed.

The random use of this die (obv. 3) makes it very hard to determine how many

times it was used as there is no set pattern.  Auction & dealer lists tend to show

that obv. 4 was the preferred option as those are the one that continually turn up.

Obverse 4  This is the obv. die most commonly used for 1875. It was first used in 1874.

                   I have noted, so far, die no. 3; 12; 18; 26; 43, 55; 58; 62; 63; 69 & 77.
