The colon dots after BRITANNIAR for both dates 1846 and 1847 normally appear very weak.

This is ONLY for Type 3 reverses  Type 3  Ornamental trident. REG:      DEF:    (Close colon)

Full colon dots after BRITANNIAR for 1846 & 1847 Type 1  Ornamental trident. REG:      DEF  :   (Far colon)

are the norm. Please do not get the two types mixed up !

The picture on the right is of the strongest we have seen to date of the Type 3 (From I.F.)

Does anyone have an example with FULL clear colon dots ?
