Rev. Centre stem of the first E of PENCE broken off. Reads PCNCE.
The NCE has been repaired and double struck but the first E - forgotten !
Unusual variety and RARE
Date: Is type is not quite a flat top nor is it a pointed top !
Tthe back of the top is very slightly raised.
The 0 is oval.
Grade: Obv. Poor - Much of the egend worn away.
Rev. Fair? - R of FOU(R) unclear. PCNCE clear. The first E of PENCE clearly shows
that the centre bar is missing.
