1852 Reverse & Date varieties
1852 groats are Very Rare as there was only a very small mintage 31,300.
It is a coin not often found on dealers list.

Date: The 52 are only very slightly larger numerals than the 18
The 5 has been badly entered as it tilts backwards
The tail of the 5 has a thin extra 'bit'. Possibly where the tail of the 5
would have been if the 5 had been struck - upright !
The 2 has been double stuck. A 'bit' of "under" 2 shows to the top outside
right, within the centre of the top circle and below foot and to the right.
* As yet I have not seen an example with the 5 upright or the 2 not double struck.
