1926 Sixpence

Obverse 3 The alignment of the letter to the border teeth are a way of determining which is

obverse 3 or 4. For obv. 3 the I of DEI pointing to a to a gap between two teeth as does the

I of BRITT pointing to a gap between two border teeth. This Obverse is scarce for 1926

Obverse 4 This obverse is normally referred as the "Modified effigy". George's head is slightly smaller

and more compact in size. The alignment of the letters to the border teeth are also slightly different.

Obv. 4 has the I of DEI pointing directly to a border tooth as does the I of BRITT pointing directly to

a border tooth. This obverse is much the commoner of the two for this date.
